The diagram above lists the various data about an airport that may be displayed on a sectional chart. This information is included next to the symbol for the airport. Note that not all of the data shown above may be shown or applicable for a given airport. Let's look at an example. The sectional chart data for Nevada County Airport in Northern California is:

NEVADA CO (O17)
3152 *L43 123.0

From this, we see that the airport's name is Nevada Co, the location identifier is O17, the airport is at an altitude of 3152 feet, the runway is lit (with some limitations), and the the airport's unicom radio frequency is 123.0.

Additional information about the airport is conveyed by the airport's symbol on the map.

Note that airports designated as Restricted (Private Use) and Military are typically not available to the public for geaeral aviation operations. However in an emergency, a pilot may make use of any airport.
