This section of VIRTUAL SKIES will introduce you to the Air Traffic Management system currently in use in the United States. You will become well acquainted with all the FAA facilities with their defined airspace and air traffic controller positions stationed in each one. You will get an inside look at a Local Control Tower, a Flight Service Station, an Air Route Traffic Control Center, Terminal Radar Approach Control and the Air Traffic Control System Command Center. You will learn what each individual facility does and how they all work together to monitor air traffic across America's skies.
