12. Conclusion
Aviation navigation is much more complicated than driving a car. It also involves more than knowing your starting and ending point. A pilot needs to know the flight characteristics and specifications of the aircraft, and needs to be able to read an aeronautical chart, plot a course and follow that course. From basic pilotage skills through advanced navigation equipment, navigation means more than taking off and landing. Many calculations are performed and much planning is required to navigate the skies safely.
